You know that moment you meet a couple and you just know they are meant for each other? It’s in the way they look at each other, the way they make each other blush and giggle, and their overall mannerisms with each other. Well, that’s exactly how Melissa and Chris are. They’re seriously an amazing, happy, easy-going, perfectly-matched couple…and I get to be their photographer! What a HUGE honor that is. To have a couple choose you to not only be their photographer, but to capture one of the most intimate, celebratory events of their lives together…it means so much.
Their engagement session date finally arrived, and the weather was threatening us. Looking outside all day, I thought “how on Earth is there a 70% chance of rain tonight??” The skies were blue, the air was crisp…it made no sense. We kept in touch throughout the day..just in case. Then POOF, just like that, all of the weather forecasts changed to a perfect 0% chance of rain. Woo! It was so remarkably beautiful for their engagement session! But in all honesty, I bet I could have photographed them in the rain and they would have been just as smiley, adorable, and giggly throughout the session.
When I saw Melissa’s 2nd outfit…oh my. My jaw dropped not only at how beautiful the outfit was, but at how stunning she looked! It doesn’t take a genius to look at her and know she’s drop dead gorgeous, but that outfit just enhanced it even more! Soooo, after finding out where she bought it, I may or may not have gone out the next day and bought the exact same outfit. Our 5 year anniversary is just around the corner and what she wore was exactly what I envisioned for my shoot, so I am SO excited! I bought the white version of that tutu skirt too along with another beautiful top and cannot wait to wear it! So, thank you Melissa! 😉
