Jaclyn and Chris’ Wedding | Sivan Photography | Orlando Wedding Photographer

I have started, deleted, and re-started writing this blog a few times, and I keep getting stuck! There were just so many factors that could have instantly swayed the direction this wedding went, and in the end…it couldn’t have been more perfect!

Jaclyn and Chris, and the vast majority of their guests, are from out of town (NY, VA, etc). The week of their wedding, one of the largest and most powerful hurricanes decided to threaten Florida. It was actually pretty terrifying, and everyone in Florida was glued to the weather channel to see if Matthew would be inching closer, or maybe…just maybe, turning away. The stores were literally void of water and the best non-refrigerated snacks with the chaos the ensued from Matthew threatening us all! The hurricane had already caused so much devastation in Haiti and other locations, and Florida was supposed to be next in line. It was supposed to hit hard on Friday, the day before Jaclyn and Chris’ wedding. I knew she would be so worried, and my heart absolutely went out to them knowing that they did not want to reschedule their big day! Even if the hurricane was gone by Saturday, who knew what the driving conditions would be like (power lines down, flooded streets, trees fallen over, etc). That’s what we were bracing ourselves for, anyway, and wow…did Matthew give us a break or what! The most damage we personally witnessed were some small branches off of trees. I knew Jaclyn and Chris were SO relieved that everything was going to work out! The biggest let down that I know they experienced was the amount of guests who physically could not make it due to cancelled flights. But you know what…I think this hurricane made everyone party that.much.harder!

Their wedding reception was just unreal. It was non-stop dancing, singing along to the music, and having the time of their lives. I think you’re going to feel like you were there just by looking at the reception photos, which is perfect for the guests who were unable to make it to Florida!:)

With Jaclyn and Chris’ gorgeous navy blue and white details, the beautiful design of the Citrus Club, and so much happiness everywhere, I honestly think this day turned out perfect. Oh, and how can I forget to mention that the weather was beautiful?! Just take a look at the sunset view they got from the top story of the Citrus Club! Jaclyn and Chris, you guys did something right in another life, and this was your good karma! 😉

Thank you so much for including Sivan Photography in your big day. We had so much fun with you all, and I regret not taking you up on the invitation to come out to the after-party! 😉 I have a feeling it was equally as epic as your wedding!
